HELLO & WELCOME

I’m Jess, a mum, Registered Nurse, and Ayurvedic Practitioner.

I completed my studies through the Australasian Institute of Ayurvedic Studies under Dr.S. Ajit (Dr. Ajit is the most experienced Ayurvedic Doctor in Australasia who teaches and practices authentic and traditional Ayurveda).

I have a passion for working with energy, herbs, nutrition, and alternative medicine, helping people find the root cause of their struggles, and empowering them to take control of their health.

MY STORY

From a very young age, all I’ve ever wanted to do was care for others. Growing up wanting to be a doctor, I then became a Registered Nurse in my adult life. I enjoy nursing but have always thought there are so many health problems that could be prevented. From my own personal experience, I thought I was living a pretty healthy life, but it led me to some health issues, and I couldn’t understand why. In my 30’s, I went through a difficult time mentally, physically, and emotionally and felt like I had hit rock bottom.

I then found yoga and Ayurveda and that’s when my life changed. After many years of no answers from doctors and specialists, Ayurveda gave me answers. It was like all the lights came on and I truly understood the reason for my health problems. Ayurveda gave me the tools I needed to start healing myself. Ayurveda saved me. My physical, mental and emotional health is the best it’s been for a very long time, and I continue to work on myself every day.

From my own personal journey, I know how amazing this ancient science of Ayurveda is and now I want to share this knowledge with others. Ayurveda is my love and passion and I truly want to help people to take control of their own health, heal and move forward in life. I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way on your own Ayurvedic journey to better health.

AYURVEDA

Ayurveda is the sister science of yoga and translates to the “Science of life and longevity”. This ancient healing system has its roots in India and has been practiced for over 5000 years.

It is one of the oldest continuously practiced traditions of medicine in the world. Ayurveda defines health as a state of balance between the three doshas or energies, Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, as well as the balance of the mind, body, and soul. We are all born with a unique constitution or combination of energies and, by knowing this, we can make diet and lifestyle choices to keep balanced and healthy. Through diet, lifestyle, and mental and emotional factors, we go out of balance and disease can arise. Ayurveda works on correcting disease from the root cause. When we treat disease from the root cause, we are given a solution to the problem. There is no band-aid approach in Ayurveda.

Ayurveda is not a quick fix or an on-trend diet, it is a way of living. Ayurveda teaches us to stay in tune with our mind, body, and soul throughout all stages of life and all seasons of the year. Ayurveda gives us the knowledge and tools, we just need to implement them.

If you would like to learn the principles of Ayurveda and feel empowered to take responsibility for your own health and well-being, please reach out and connect with me.
